News from The Doctor and his Lab

Quick post from today's visit to the Doctor. We got to meet the other member of the team, Dr. Jeff Hancock. He visited with us today, went through my case and did a physical exam. He asked about any new symptoms or problems. He told us that anything like mouth sores, to blame them on the doctors and the drugs. I though perhaps the almonds I had been eating had caused them. He told us that any sign of improvement is a good sign and even if a new CT were to show little progress in the tumor(s), the outward signs I am feeling are the best evidence.

We were excited about the labs a week after my theoretical low point. The granulocyte level today was 4.6 up from 1.9. The White blood cells 5.3 up from 3.3. Our nurse for today told us that only rarely do they see this kind of rebound. All my CBC lab values were in the normal range. Pretty good stuff. Almost enough to get excited over but still a long way to go.

Thank-you so much for your prayers and faith. Please keep them coming if you can. Also, please include the others all around you and here with us who are in need of similar news.
